A cloud consultant called us recently to walk through our cloud cost analysis. He was going to build us a report. Four menus deep. Seventeen filters. He was very proud of the architecture of the thing.


We asked him: can't you just do this with Claude?

He could not, in fact, just do this with Claude. He had been building reports this way for years. The system was fine. The system worked. The system also required four menus and seventeen filters to answer the question "why did we spend $3,000 on API credits last month?"

That question, by the way, took a prompt and about twelve seconds.
The Reporting Tool Is Yesterday's Interface

Here's what's actually happened over the last two years: every reporting tool you use — your cloud cost dashboard, your CRM analytics, your budgeting tool, your SAST platform's summary view — became a legacy interface.

Pick your highest-volume vulnerability class. The one your SAST or DAST scanner flags most often. Don't build a report about it. Instead, ask: what would a working, validated fix for this class of vulnerability actually look like? What would it take to generate that fix automatically and deliver it as a PR?
